Singing lady

This is easily one of the hardest movie related decisions to make. We all have our personal favorites, this could be due to actor preference, age or just taste but we have selected three musicals that we believe are true sensations.

Moulin Rouge (2001)

This musical has it all, it is risky, has romance, drama and is a truly unforgettable movie. Based in the year of 1899, Christian the young Englishman, has come to Paris to write, and gets swept into the Bohemian revolution and Paris’ drug and sinful world. The heart for all of this wickedness and madness is at the Moulin Rouge, a night club where the men of the city come to be entertained by the performers. But Christian quickly falls for Satine, the main courtesan and begins a fiery love affair. However, Christian is not the only gentleman after her affections, she is also being summoned by the club’s patron, the Duke. A risky love triangle ensues as Satine and Christian try to fight all odds to remain together.

Wizard of Oz

Are you even a musical fan if you have not ticket this one off your list? Dorothy Gale (played by the beautiful Judy Garland) is flown away from her country farmhouse in Kansas to the enchanted land of Oz in a tornado and begins her journey on an adventure with her new friends to see the Wizard who can help her get home to her Aunt and friends.

Grease the musical is set in 1959 at Rydell High School and tells the tale of ten working-class teens as they steer themselves through the complicated world of social pressures, school rules, romance and heartbreak. Musically based on early rock and roll, Grease is guaranteed to get those legs moving.

So if you have been craving a good singalong and have recently been deprived of a great musical then get one of these out from the collection and enjoy what these fantastic movies have to offer.
